Heath Ledger

So I don't know about ya'll, but i cry every time i see a dark night commercial. So much talent, I mean you could tell this was one of his biggest roles. He really got into it, he made his voice change. I thought The Dark Knight was his last film. I was wrong. Again, not sure how many know this, but he is in a film called The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus. It is in post production at the moment, should come out next year. THe movie site still hasn't been fully developed. They do have a site, but all there is, is a picture at the moment.

He stars with Johnny Depp and Colin Farrell.

Now according to http://imaginarium-doctor-parnassus-trailer.blogspot.com/

"Heath Ledger died before all shooting was done: the movie is jeopardized, under the threat of being put aside.

But director Terry Gilliam does not want to give up. So the opening of an official website for the Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus is a good sign. Heath Ledger last role will not be lost.

Some rumors claim that by using a plot trick Johnny Depp may replace Heath Ledger for the last scenes of the movie. An other possibility mentioned by Terry Gilliam would be to use CGI (computers) to recreate an avatar in the image of Heath Ledger."

I hope its not terminated... and they are able to fix it. It's seems like something we'd enjoy.\

"The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus" - "The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus"
is a fantastical morality tale, set in the present day. It tells the story of Dr Parnassus and his extraordinary 'Imaginarium', a travelling show where members of the audience get an irresistible opportunity to choose between light and joy or darkness and gloom. Blessed with the extraordinary gift of guiding the imaginations of others, Dr Parnassus is cursed with a dark secret. Long ago he made a bet with the devil, Mr Nick, in which he won immortality. Many centuries later, on meeting his one true love, Dr Parnassus made another deal with the devil, trading his immortality for youth, on condition that when his first-born reached its 16th birthday he or she would become the property of Mr Nick. Valentina is now rapidly approaching this 'coming of age' milestone and Dr Parnassus is desperate to protect her from her impending fate. Mr Nick arrives to collect but, always keen to make a bet, renegotiates the wager. Now the winner of Valentina will be determined by whoever seduces the first five souls. Enlisting a series of wild, comical and compelling characters in his journey, Dr Parnassus promises his daughter's hand in marriage to the man that helps him win. In this captivating, explosive and wonderfully imaginative race against time, Dr Parnassus must fight to save his daughter in a never-ending landscape of surreal obstacles - and undo the mistakes of his past once and for all...

We all wait to see what director Terry Gilliam does with the unfinished and final work of Heath Ledger. You'll recall, over a decade and a half ago, after the death of actor Brandon Lee, on the set of "The Crow," filming commenced with a body double, as it had been nearly finished before Lee's untimely death.

STARRING: Heath Ledger, Christopher Plummer, Verne Troyer, Tom Waits
DIRECTOR: Terry Gilliam
STUDIO: TBD
RATING: R

Sounds cool. The background info reminds me a lot of Faust. I don't know how to feel about the film. I am excited to see 'The Dark Knight' being both a Batman and Ledger fan. Hopefully it will be as good as everyone is saying it will.

On the other movie. I want to see it, then I also do not want CGI to take the place of a person. What will happen will be interesting. Usually when an actor dies during production the film is cut or a double comes in. Who knows.

yea in the crow they had a double, but according to imdb..

Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell have agreed to complete Heath Ledger's role. The film's fantasy premise, and some clever rewrites, will let the actors play a man whose appearance changes as he travels between imaginary worlds.

The premise of the movie sounds really interesting. I'd like to see it if it comes out.

I, too, hope they don't make a CGI Health Leger. I've heard that the movie industry can/has done that for other dead actors and not just for unfinished roles. Which is a shame. Defeats the purpose of having new, talented actors.
