I don't think Joss has learned his lesson when it comes to making TV deals with Fox. Fox stuck their noses in once again and made Joss change the show a bit. Here is Joss' interview on the update of the show and what has and hasn't changed since production was shut down.

Fox is stupid. And, Joss, you must remember that they canceled Firefly? Why would you let them screw with Dollhouse?
